Amperion Inc.is a US company with headquarters in a city called Lowell, about 25 miles north of Boston, Massachusetts. Amperion Inc. has entered into a joint venture with other investors to form a company called Amperion Asia, which has the exclusive rights to distribute Amperion's products across the PRC. Amperion Inc. has developed a family of products that enables high-speed internet access using electrical power lines, instead of DSL or cable technologies. It is often called Broadband over Powerline (BPL). A key element of the Amperion solution is that Wi-Fi users can access this broadband capability which is carried over a utility company's medium voltage power lines (underground or overhead). This opens the possibility of BPL being adopted as an additional IP-based networking technology for voice, data and video transmissions. It also holds the potential to help the electrical utility companies to better manage their power grid. The company holds a very strong suite of patents for its technologies and currently has the products on trial in multiple locations around the world, including Beijing.
Opportunity:Amperion Asia needs to immediately hire a technical team of two people to support a system integrator that is now testing Amperion's products in Beijing and who will resell Amperion's products across the PRC. This technical team will be based in Beijing and will have significant interaction with the Amperion engineers in the U.S.
