2013年4月爆发的禽流感病毒H7N9（2013），公司自主研发并生产的《人感染H7N9禽流感病毒RNA检测试剂盒（荧光PCR法）》成为国内推出的商品化试剂盒，也是是全球禽流感病毒H7N9（2013）核酸测定试剂盒，在该病的早期控制上发挥了重要作用。
上海之江生物科技股份有限公司是一家专业从事核酸诊断试剂及仪器的研制、生产和销售集研发、生产、销售的企业，是目前国内分子诊断试剂生产的龙头企业之一。
公司总部设在上海，分别在张江高科技园医疗器械园区和漕河泾开发区浦江高科技园区分建立了十万级和万级生产车间。并在美国设有办事处，美国的办公室位于亚哥的加利福尼亚，面积达6,000平方英尺。
目前公司已完成了近300项的基因诊断快速诊断产品的研发，是国内感染性疾病分子诊断产品为齐全的企业。产品种类齐全，涵盖所有国家法定传染病，用于医学临床、公共卫生突发事件、出入境检验检疫、食品检验、畜牧业、水产业等领域。绝大部分产品已得到欧盟CE论证，且已有二十余个产品过的国家食品药品监督管理局颁发的注册证。
目前产品已覆盖国内30余个省/ 区/直辖市，在国内整个疾病预防和控制系统中的销售率居国内同类企业，且远销包括欧洲、亚洲、美洲等地的70多个国家。
